The China (Sichuan) - Bavaria Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Conference takes place in Munich, Germany, July 4, 2025.

From July 4 to 7 local time, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, led a Sichuan delegation on a visit to Germany to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further expand and deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation between Sichuan and German states in various fields, and promote the continued development of friendly relations between the two sides.

During his visit to Germany, Wang Xiaohui met respectively with Minister-President of the Free State of Bavaria Markus S?der, President of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) André Kuper, and Mayor of Düsseldorf Stephan Keller, met with some well-known German entrepreneurs and heads of the European Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises' Association, and also held meetings with Chinese Ambassador to Germany Deng Hongbo, Chinese Consul General in Munich Qiu Xuejun, and Chinese Consul General in Düsseldorf Yu Yong. On the morning of July 4, the China (Sichuan) - Bavaria Economic, Trade, Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Conference was held in Munich. In his speech, Wang Xiaohui stated that President Xi Jinping and Chancellor Olaf Scholz have reached an important consensus on opening a new chapter in China-Germany all-round strategic partnership and steering China-EU relations toward new progress, which provides a directional guidance for the sound development of China-Germany relations in the new era. He noted that the foundation of China-Germany relations is in grassroots connections, and its future depends on the youth. President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to youth exchanges between the two countries. On multiple occasions, he has personally participated in related events and warmly engaged with young friends from both countries, expressing earnest expectations for them to carry forward the China-Germany friendship and cooperation. The newly launched Chengdu-Europe Express rail service distinguishes itself through its operational model: fixed stations, fixed routes, fixed train numbers, fixed schedules, and fixed pricing. Boasting precision-timed, premium-quality service, it ensures seamless connectivity and stable, controllable transportation across all transport segments, significantly enhancing logistics efficiency.

During the visit to Germany, relevant institutions, enterprises, and trade associations from Sichuan Province signed a series of economic, trade, and investment cooperation agreements with German counterparts. During the visit, the delegation visited Siemens and Agile Robots, holding discussions with corporate executives. Additionally, the delegation joined local guests in touring the photo exhibition on Sichuan's provincial conditions, the exhibition of the "Sichuan Baijiu Global Promotional Campaign" Germany leg, and the "Sichuan Traditional Chinese Medicine Overseas Tour" display.
